SWAYAM (FREE)
This is a great initiative by Government of India under the principles of Education Policy "access, equity and quality". Under this initiative, our government ensures the best teaching learning resources to all. All the courses are hosted as video lectures, downloadable reading materials, self-assessment tests and online discussion forums.
All the courses available on SWAYAM are absolutely free of cost but if you want a SWAYAM certificate, you should register and make a small payment and appear for a test at dedicated centres.

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) (FREE)
NPTEL is an initiative by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) for creating video and web based courses in engineering and science. All the courses offered via NPTEL are completely free to enrol and learn but for certification, a fee of Rs.1000 needs to be paid.
